Greater Bongaigaon Nagar Samiti under the aegis of Koch Rajbongshi Cultural Society formed

BONGAIGAON, 26th Nov: The Koch Rajbongshi Cultural Society (KRCS) in its recent development formed the ‘Greater Bongaigaon Nagar Samiti’, a branch committee (third-tier) under Bongaigaon District Committee of KRCS. An executive level meeting was held in Kanishka Hotel at 5:00 pm on 25th November, 2017 to fill the key positions of the branch executive committee. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Tarun Choudhury, sharing with him the dias were members from the Central Executive Committee namely Mr. Durbasha Ray (Advisor), Mr. Buddheswar Ray (President), Mr. Dhananjoy Barman (Working President), Mr. David Ray (Cultural Secretary), Kamal Kishore Adhikary (President- District Committee) and Chandan Barman (Working President- District Committee). Other dignatories from Bongaigaon namely Lakhikanta Ray (Educationalist and Social Worker) Manjula Baruah Choudhury(Sportsperson) and Col. Siben Ray (Ex-Army veteran) were also present to grace the significant occasion.

g. Cultural Secretary: Ms.Mridula Singha, Ms.Rashmirekha Choudhury
h. Literary Secretary: Mr. Anuj Choudhury.
i. Publicity Secretary: Ms. Nilakshi Ray
j. Working Members: Mr. Dhanjit Ray, Mr. Hiranjyoti Sarkar, Mr. Jagat Choudhury, Ms. Gitanjali Choudhury, Ms. Pranami Choudhury,  Ms. Nitumoni Adhikary, Ms. Janali Singha and Ms. Nabanita Choudhury.

Bongaigaon being a Koch Rajbongshi dominated region  in Central Kamatapur and a strong bastion of Koch Rajbongshi culture the newly nominated members expressed their strong desire to work for the all round development of the Koch Rajbongshi community in Bongaigaon and it’s vicinity areas.
